My Equipment

So by you deleting C4D, you admit that it is not worthy of being on our blog, and that it is a useless program! I knew that would come eventually… it just came down to a matter of time!

Why are you talking to yourselves? Not only that, but you’re arguing with yourselves… seriously people, there’s something vaguely wrong with that…

  2. January 13, 2010 at 5:27 pm | #3

    We have multiple personality disorder.

  3. January 13, 2010 at 5:29 pm | #4

By linking multiple account to the same blog, we can fix that problem.

And by fixing one’s profile setting, one’s name does not get cut off (hopefully!!!!!).

Does it get cut off depending on the length of your name? (Let’s see if mine does, using my full name)

  6. January 13, 2010 at 8:08 pm | #7

It does if it is one word, like christophercanel. However, Christopher Canel gets pushed to two lines because it is two words.

Yeah, mine gets pushed out into two lines.

  8. January 25, 2010 at 10:34 pm | #9

I never even touched the cameras but I sure need to.

  9. January 25, 2010 at 10:36 pm | #10

    Yah. You definitely should.

Paraphrasing Scott Kelby, a world renowned photographer and the author of the books that taught me everything, photography is one of the only “sports” where equipment matters. Once, we took almost $10,000 from that cabinet.

Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG Marco* and Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM

Good lensses, you can take great pictures with them.. I would wait those great picture ;)

Do you own those lensses and cameras or they are from Skocko?

For me, I have Canon EFS 18-55mm IS and Nikon D100 .. I didn’t try the Nikon one because it is new ..I also need to read about it because it is alittle bit different LOL.. so the pictures you saw are witho Canon camera.

Did you used those cameras that I have ?

  11. January 27, 2010 at 10:28 pm | #12

I own the Rebel T1i and 18-55mm IS (got them for Christmas). The rest we borrow from Skocko.

Eventually, I’ll go through and label which photos were taken with which camera/lens.

They are all great, but my favorite is the 24-105mm. It is the most expensive too ($1,250). The 5D Mark II is the best camera ($2,500). As I said before, once we were walking around with $10,000 on us.

Skocko is really nice and lets us borrow almost anything. If you need gear, ask him and I’m sure he will let you borrow some. Better yet, ask me or Kyle, because Skocko has no clue what he has in that cabinet. (We spent twelve hours cleaning it, so we know everything!!!!)

Thanks for asking. I went today and I got The Mecro lensses ,, haha Iam happy!

  15. January 28, 2010 at 4:47 pm | #16

I borrowed the 10-22mm wide angle, the 18-200mm telephoto, a 58mm circular polarizing filter, a remote shutter release, a tripod, and a gorillapod. I also bought a tripod today so I don’t have to keep borrowing them.

I will try all the lenses I possibly can try. Today I took good pictures with the Mecro lensses.

I thought my dad had a tripod so I didnt have to borrow one on Thuresday, I think I need to buy one!

  17. January 29, 2010 at 11:37 pm | #18

Definitely buy one. As far as I know, the Mac Lab only has 1 working tripod.

only 1.. umm I think I have to buy one ASAP.

  19. January 30, 2010 at 12:58 pm | #20

The one I bought was $60 after tax and it works really well. I know you can get the for under $40. It is a very worthwhile investment.

Yes, I agree.. I will buy one whenever I have time.

  21. January 31, 2010 at 5:59 pm | #22

The Mac Lab got three new lenses on Friday: a 20mm, a 28mm, and a 60mm Marco. I will find the specs on the new lenses and add them to this page tomorrow (or when and if we use them). These new lenses are designed to be used with the 5D Mark II, but will work with any of the cameras.

  23. January 31, 2010 at 10:09 pm | #24

    Yep.

He also got a couple of Circular Polarizing filters (amazing!!!) and a UV filter.

What lens you think I should barrow this weekend Chris?

  26. February 4, 2010 at 5:08 pm | #27

What type of photography will you be doing?

I think the Sigma 12-24mm is great. I would suggest the Sigma 70-300mm, but Kyle is taking that one. If you are going for telephoto, then the Canon 70-200 is the best quality.

    Do you own a camera?

I will be taking close up shots like the ones on my new PS webstie, and maybe landscaps.

I own Canon EFS 18-55mm IS and Nikon D100 .. so what I would like to do is to try different lenses each time.. I will take your advice and try Canon 70-200.. in the same time I prefer Mecro ones, but lets give it a shot !

    Thanks for the advice.

  28. February 4, 2010 at 8:49 pm | #29

    Your welcome.

Skocko got a new super-fast 60mm Marco last friday, just so you know.

    February 4, 2010 at 9:55 pm | #30

Great, I will go to him tomorrow and I will ask about it.

  30. February 4, 2010 at 10:10 pm | #31

He probably doesn’t even remember he bought it. Better to just look for it. It is small and will be in a small bag. It might only work with the 5D Mark II, 5D, and 50D though, but I’m not sure.
